Startup Lions Oy’s new board has been elected
Startup Lions’ annual general meeting was held in July, and a new board of directors was confirmed at the board’s organizational meeting. Jari Puranen, Jukka Huikari and Eikka Heikinheimo will continue on the board, and Vesa Lehtinen, Petra Erätuli and Jaakko Salminen will join as new members.
The Board of Directors elected serial entrepreneur and angel investor Vesa Lehtinen as Chairman of the Board. The new board members bring with them additional strong expertise in developing and financing startup companies. At the same time, we gain even greater access to the networks needed by startups, for example for financing and internationalization.
“Our new board is a diverse and widely networked group of business experts with a strong track record of developing startup businesses in many different fields. With this composition, we will certainly be able to improve the success potential of our portfolio companies and take Startup Lions towards our goals. The new board was able to confirm the exit of one of our portfolio companies as its first task, we will provide more information about this in the near future,” says Startup Lions CEO Johan Backas.
