NWB Finland Oy has developed a patented packaging solution based on an environmentally friendly concept, in which Finnish spring water will be sold in a Bag-in-Box style format. What makes this revolutionary is the introduction of a reusable cardboard package and an ecological wooden container, into which refill pouches will be sold separately. This concept will reduce the amount of plastic used by approximately 62% compared to typical plastic bottles, which are currently the main packaging used for bottled water. When empty, the refill pouches significantly lower waste management costs and are made from the most eco-friendly recycled plastic possible.
NWB Finland Oy’s primary markets will be in Southern Europe, Asia, and the Middle East, where the demand for clean water is expected to grow by an average of 4.43% CAGR, reaching €1,142 billion by 2030. The company aims to identify a market niche within this growth, where the new product concept combined with some of the world’s purest water offers an excellent opportunity for profitable business.
Since autumn 2024, NWB Finland has renewed its business concept and will focus on combining ecological and innovative packaging solutions with the sale of clean water. The goal is to launch its own production as soon as possible while simultaneously mapping out target export markets. With this new concept, the company believes it can secure a market position that enables profitable growth and financial results by 2026.
